WILMINGTON -- Georgia "Billie" Ward Gray, died Monday afternoon at Davis Health Care Center.
Funeral service will be Wednesday, June 6, 2012, at 11 a.m. at Emmaus Baptist Church Cemetery, 714 Emmaus Church Road in Dudley, with the Rev. Johnny Sasser officiating.
The family will receive friends after the service.
She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Bobby Leon Gray; stepson, Brain Gray of Virginia Beach, Va.; nieces, Nita Britt of Goldsboro, Kim Holderfield of Raleigh and Margie Powell of Mount Olive; and nephews, Danny Wise, Mike Rose of Goldsboro, Clay Ward, Pat Ward of Raleigh and Roger Wise of Atlanta, Ga.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Edna Garris Ward and Daniel Clayton Ward, as well as her 10 siblings
Mrs. Gray was a native of Wayne County.
She was a 1949 graduate of Goldsboro High School, where she was voted as the "most wittiest."
She retired from Southern Bell with 38 years of service.
