CALYPSO -- Edward Warren Herring, 76, died early Sunday morning, April 29, 2012.
Friends and family will be received at Tyndall Funeral Home Wednesday, May 2, from noon to 1:30 p.m.
At 2 p.m. a memorial service will follow at Calypso Presbyterian Church, officiated by the Rev. Nick Nielsen.
Warren's early church affiliation was that of being a Methodist, but at the disbanding of Calypso Methodist Church, he, along with his family, became members of Calypso Presbyterian Church.
He graduated from Calypso High School and attended Atlantic Christian College.
He was the only child born to his late parents, Ed Herring and Elizabeth Albritton Herring.
After his father's death, he operated his father's business, Ed Herring Farm Supply Co. in Mount Olive, and at its closing, he became employed with Durwood Kennedy as a real estate agent, where he remained employed until his death.
Warren's life ended where it had begun -- at home -- and it was there that he lived all years in between.
Survivors include several cousins and numerous friends.
