REX A. WILLIAMS

Rex Allen Williams, 50, passed away Wednesday, March 7, 2012, at his home.
Rex was born in Wayne County July 11, 1961, to Myrtle Whitman Williams and the late James Ezra Williams.
He volunteered for many years at Mar Mac Fire Department, and always enjoyed the opportunity to go camping, fishing and motorcycle riding.
The family will receive friends Saturday, March 10, 2012, from 1 to 2 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home, followed by a service at 2 p.m. in the chapel, with the Rev. Jim Willoughby officiating. At other times, the family will be at 105 Rhonda Place, Goldsboro.
Rex is survived by his wife, Danita Lanier Williams of three years; his children, Trish Furrin and husband, John, of Pennsylvania, Rex Williams Jr. of Arizona, Gary Williams of Goldsboro, Austin James Williams of Goldsboro and Chellie Williams of Goldsboro; and his four grandchildren.
He is also survived by his sister, Mary Ann Menley and husband, John; his brother-in-law, Robert J. Lanier; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his brother, George Allen Williams.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in his memory to Surf City Parks and Recreation at 201 Community Center Drive, Surf City, N.C., 28445.
