DUDLEY -- Ms. Monica Faison, 48, lovingly known by her family and friends as "Poochie," 851 Herring Road, Dudley, graciously departed her life Thursday, Feb. 9, 2012, at Mount Olive Family Medicine Center in Mount Olive.
"Poochie" was born in Wayne County Aug. 26, 1963, to the late Rosie Lee Faison and Etha Fryar.
Funeral service will be conducted Friday, Feb. 17, 2012, at 1 p.m. at House Of Prayer, 958 Sleepy Creek Road, Dudley, N.C., 28333, with pastor Moses H. Darden officiating. Interment will follow in House Of Prayer Cemetery, 958 Sleepy Creek Road, Dudley.
A public viewing will be held Thursday, Feb. 16, 2012, at McIntyre Funeral Home and Florist, 900 S. George St., Goldsboro, from 2 to 6 p.m.
Also, Feb. 16, 2012, the family will be present to receive friends from 5 to 6 p.m. at McIntyre Funeral Home.
"Poochie" leaves to cherish her loving and precious memories her father, Mr. Robert Earl Simpson of the home; a special cousin, Grace Faison of Goldsboro; a devoted uncle, Cary T. Faison of Dudley; and a host of cousins other relatives and friends.
At other times, the family will receive friends at 851 Herring Road, Dudley, where family and friends will assemble one hour prior to the funeral in preparation for the funeral procession.
