RONALD R. GENDREAU

Ronald R. Gendreau, resident of Goldsboro, formerly of Dracut, Mass., died Friday, Feb. 3, 2012, following a brief illness. He was 58.
He was born in Lowell Sept. 2, 1953, son of Raymond J. Gendreau of Dracut, Mass., who survives him, and the late Doris M. "Ciesla" Gendreau.
Ron graduated from Dracut High School and the University of Massachusetts in Lowell, where he studied music education.
He was an accomplished guitarist and played in several area bands prior to moving to North Carolina 10 years ago.
Ron completed the coast Guard Auxiliary course on boating and seamanship in 1988.
Surviving him, besides his father, are his sisters and brother, Kathleen Villemaire and her husband, George, of Hudson, N.H., Judith Ebanks and her husband, William, of Grand Cayman, Michael Gendreau of Lowell and Nancy Davis and her husband, Johnny, of Goldsboro, and several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his memorial funeral Mass Monday at 11 a.m. in St. Francis Church, 115 Wheeler Road, Dracut, Mass. Inurnment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Chelmsford, Mass.
