Gerald Carlton Taylor Jr., 61, died at Pitt Memorial Hospital on Wednesday, Nov. 30, 2011.
The funeral services will be held at Goldsboro Chapel Free Will Baptist Church Monday, Dec. 5, 2011, at noon with Elder James Moses as eulogist. Burial will follow at Wayne Memorial Park North.
He was born to the late Gerald Carlton Taylor Sr. and Jean Taylor.
The family will receive visitors from 6 until 8 p.m. today, Dec. 4, 2011, at Hamilton Funeral Chapel.
He is survived by his wife, Vertie Hubbard Taylor; daughter, Marrissa Kirk (Tyrone) of Colorado Springs, Colo.; mother, Jean Taylor of Dudley; sister, Beverly Taylor of Atlanta, Ga.; granddaughters, Asia Kirk and Zia Kirk, both of Colorado Springs, Colo.; aunts, uncles and a host of other relatives.
The family will assemble one hour prior to the service in preparation for the funeral at 1500 E. Maple St.
Funeral arrangements for Mr. Taylor have been entrusted to Hamilton Funeral Chapel of Goldsboro.
