Michael Patrick Gillie, 51, died Thursday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
Born in Beaufort, S.C., he was the son of the late Ralph Elliott and Nellie Hamilton Gillie, and was preceded in death by a brother, Ralph Hamilton.
A memorial service will be held Sunday afternoon at 4 p.m. in the chapel of Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home, with Ven Faulk officiating.
The family will receive friends after the service.
Michael is survived by a special friend and buddy, Janet and Jimmy Kearney of Mount Olive; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Robert and Maureen Gillie of Chesapeake, Va., and Jeff and Lynda Gillie of Atlantic.
