MARY LOU FUTRELL STRICKLAND

Mary Lou Futrell Strickland, 82, passed away Thursday, June 16, 2011, surrounded by her loving family.
Funeral services will be held by the graveside today, June 19, 2011, at 3 p.m. at Elmwood Cemetery in Fremont.
Mrs. Strickland was born Nov. 3, 1928, to the late Addie Lee Futrell and Lou Pearl Smith Futrell.
She is survived by two daughters, Joanne Stancil and husband, Kenneth, of Dudley and Patsy Wellington and husband, Doug, of Dudley; two sons, Tommy Strickland and wife, Maxine, of Kenly and Donnie Strickland and wife, Faye, of Goldsboro; three sisters, Margaret Mozingo of Pikeville, Frances Combs and husband, Billy Ray, of Goldsboro and Annie Ruth Parrish and husband, Oscar, of Pine Level; one brother, Thurman Futrell and wife, Frances, of South Carolina; eight grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford A. Strickland; a daughter, Connie Colvin and a grandson, Kenneth Stancil Jr.
The family will receive friends following the service at the graveside and other times at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Joanne and Kenneth Stancil, 781 Old Mount Olive Hwy. in Dudley.
