James Allen "Skeeter" Wilson, 33, of Dudley, passed away Friday.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, May 31, at 7:30 p.m. at the chapel of Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 6 until 7:30 p.m. and following the service at the funeral home.
Born in Dade County, Fla., he was the husband of Ashley Snovel Wilson, and the father of Robert and Shawna Wilson. He was employed with Georgia Pacific for more than 15 years.
In addition to his wife and children he is survived by his adopted parents, Bruce and Jean McNeill and his biological mother; Barbara Jean Sugg; three brothers, J.P., Billy, and Dallas; and one sister, Candy; and his grandparents, John and Nancy McNeill, and Gertrude Gilman.
He and his wife were both students at Mount Olive College, where he was pursuing his bachelor's degree. In an effort to help others it was Skeeter's request to be an organ donor.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in memory of Skeeter may be made to the Mount Olive College Scholarship Endowment Fund.
