R. HAROLD WALKER

Robert Harold Walker, 82, passed away Wednesday, May 25, 2011, at Willow Creek Nursing Home.
Harold was born in Wayne County Nov. 17, 1928, to the late Robert Nergil Walker and Sally Herring Walker.
He graduated from Atlantic Christian College, now known as Barton College.
Harold was a member of Trinity Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be held Friday, May 27, 2011, at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Seymour Funeral Home, with the Rev. Johnny Sasser officiating. Interment will follow at Walker Cemetery.
Harold is survived by his wife, Gail Herring Walker; his sons, Bob Walker Jr. and wife, Kay, Richard Walker and Jeff Walker and wife, Carolyn, all of Goldsboro; his three stepchildren, Travis Herring and wife, Candace, and Michael Herring; his 10 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Easter Davis Walker, and his stepson, Leslie Herring.
Flowers are welcome or memorials may be made to the church of your choice.
The family will receive friends Thursday, May 26, 2011, from 7 to 9 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home, and other times at the home of his son, Jeff and wife, Carolyn, Walker, 516 Spring Bank Road, Goldsboro.
