MOUNT OLIVE -- Christine Blackston Radford, 89, 230 Woodridge Drive, died Monday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
She was born Sept. 7, 1921, in Wayne County to the late William James and Carrie Walker Blackston.
Funeral service will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Newton Grove, with the Rev. James Garneau officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Jerilyn J. and Kenneth Lee of Mount Olive; three granddaughters; two great-grandchildren; and a sister, Ida Mae Benjamim of Elm City.
A time of viewing and reflection will be held Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m. at Mount Olive College chapel. The family will be present from 6 to 8 p.m. to receive friends, and at other times the family will receive friends at 189 Lee's Country Club Road in Mount Olive.
