Roger Charles Wass, 62, passed away Friday, May 6, 2011, at Wayne Memorial Hospital surrounded by his family.
Roger was born in Mason City, Iowa, Jan. 30, 1949, to the late Donald and LaVonne Weiland Wass.
A private graveside service will be held Wednesday, May 11, 2011, at 2 p.m. at the State Veteran's Cemetery in Jacksonville, N.C., with full military honors.
Roger is survived by his wife, Sumrit Wass; his daughters, Julienne (Aaron) Yager and Allyson Wass and fiancé, Kevin Stallings; his five grandchildren; his brother, Gerald (Deb) Wass of Iowa; and his sister, Julie (Paul) Roberts of Iowa.
