MOUNT OLIVE -- James Oates, 85, 196 Flower Road, died Thursday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
Funeral will be Wednesday at 3 p.m. at Rhodes Funeral Home chapel, with elder James M. Hammond Sr. officiating. Burial will be in Lewis Cemetery in Mount Olive.
He was born March 22, 1925, in Faison to the late Henry Oates and Novella Leach.
Visitation will be Tuesday from 3 to 7 p.m. at Rhodes Funeral Home.
