PIKEVILLE -- Sarah Elizabeth Williams, 77, went to be with her Lord and savior Sunday evening, Feb. 27, 2011, at Wake Medical Center in Raleigh.
Homegoing services will be held Wednesday, March 2, 2011, at 11 a.m. at Watery Branch Free Will Baptist Church, where she was a member. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery in Fremont.
Mrs. Williams was born Nov. 26, 1933, to the late George and Sarah Hall Wheeler.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Faison Williams.
She is survived by five daughters, Susan Pipkin of Goldsboro, Betty Jean Williams, Blanche Wheeler and Ann Mooring of Pikeville and Debbie Denton and husband, Mike, of Kenly; two sons, Larry Williams and wife, Trish, and Jerry Williams and wife, Brenda, of Pikeville; three sisters, Bessie Robbinson, Dorothy Coley and Peggy Guy of Goldsboro; a brother, Charles Wheeler of Goldsboro; 10 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Tuesday evening, March 1, 2011, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Shackleford-Howell Funeral Home, 102 N. Pine St. in Fremont, and other times at the home of her daughter, Debbie (Mike) Denton, 543 Boswell Road, in Kenly.
