PARY LEE WALLS

WALDORF, Md. -- Pary Lee Walls, 94, Waldorf, Md., formerly of Mount Olive, died Dec. 18, 2010, at Genesis Health Care Waldorf Center.
She was residing in Waldorf, Md., with her daughter and son-in-law, Burnette and Jesse McKinely Sr., since August 1998.
While in Maryland, she attended the Waldorf Senior Center until she was admitted to the nursing facility in October 2005.
Before moving to Maryland, she was a devoted member of Mt. Gilead Baptist Church, and was employed at North Duplin Elementary School until her retirement.
Born Jan. 8, 1916, in Georgia, she was the daughter of the late James E. Robinson and the late Lela McCormick.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Johnnie H. Walls; daughter, Brenda Ann Walls-Lofton; granddaughter, Phyliss Johnson-Stuckey; two daughters-in-law, Dixie T. Walls and Louise Walls; three sisters; and four brothers.
She is survived by her daughters, Burnette and her husband, Jesse McKinley Sr., of Waldorf, Md., Mary Lee and her husband, Bernard Johnson, of Bristol, Pa., and Geraldine and her husband, Harvey Carr, of Philadelphia, Pa.; sons, Ketrick Walls of Philadelphia, Pa., and Douglas and his wife, Denora Walls, of Cary; 14 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; seven great-great grandchildren; three sisters, Oretha Jones and Odis McCalop of Mount Olive and Eddie Mae Goodman of Hartford, Conn.; a brother, Bonnie Robinson of Pittsburg, Pa.; two sisters-in-law, Catherine Walls of Calypso and Annie Lee Walls of Warsaw; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Viewing will be held from noon to 1 p.m. Dec. 28, followed by a service at 1 p.m. at Mt. Gilead Missionary Baptist Church, with pastor Larry B. Faison officiating. Burial will be in Carver Cemetery.
The funeral cortege will line up at 11:30 a.m. at 146 County Road in Mount Olive in preparation for the funeral procession.
