HUBERT EDWARD MYERS

Hubert Edward Myers, 81, 652 Ditchbank Road, ascended this earth Monday, Dec. 13, 2010, peacefully at home.
Hubert was born in Wayne County July 3, 1929, to the late Harvey Myers and Nellie Barley Myers.
He was employed with Borden Manufacturing Co. for 30 years.
Hubert enjoyed repairing lawn mowers, and selling at 301 Flea Market in Smithfield for several years.
Funeral services will be held Friday, Dec. 17, 2010, at 1 p.m. in the chapel of Seymour Funeral Home, with Paula Griffin officiating. Interment will follow at Hills of the Neuse Cemetery in Four Oaks
He is survived by his wife, Fannie Faye Myers; his children, Brenda Myers Carter and husband, Bill, of Texas, Michael Wayne Myers and wife, Joann, of Colorado and Patsy Myers Williams Galvez and husband, Omar, of Grantham; his stepsons, Ricky Narron and wife, Belinda, of Henderson and Gary Narron of Goldsboro; his grandchildren, Amanda Carter Way and husband, Mitch, Chris and Stephanie Myers, Brian Williams, Jeremy Williams and wife, Melissa, and Matthew Williams; stepgrandchildren, Wayne Narron and Bobbie Narron; mother, Sherry Surratt, Megan, Chris, Derek, Amanda, Blake and Scotty Narron; nine great-grandchildren; several stepgreat-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and close family and friends.
The family will receive friends Thursday, Dec. 16, 2010, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home, and at the residence located at 1302 N. Carolina St., and other times at his daughter's at 4220 Stevens Mill Road.
