KINSTON -- The Rev. Charles R. Oglesby, 81, Kinston, N.C., born in Cornland, Ill., passed away Thursday, Sept. 2, 2010, at his home.
He was the beloved husband of Marguerite, and loving father to nine children and 18 grandchildren.
He proudly served our country in the Army during the Korean War.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Sandy Bottom Baptist Church, c/o Margie Davis, 1216 Leslie Stroud Road, Kinston, N.C., 28504.
A memorial service will be held at Sandy Bottom Baptist Church Sunday, Sept. 26, 2010, at 2 p.m.
