EDWARD N. CARR

Edward Nelson Carr, 82, died Sunday at his home in Mar Mac.
He was born in Front Royal, Va., to the late Mahlon and Linda Carr, and was married to Collis Carr for 58 years.
Mr. Carr was a retired technical sergeant from the United States Air Force after 27 years of service.
Ed also worked for Smith Brothers for many years as a butcher, and enjoyed playing golf at Southern Wayne Country Club and Three Eagles Golf Course.
Being a fan of magic Mr. Carr also started a magic club in Goldsboro, as well as being a member of other magic clubs.
At Mr. Carr's request, there will be no formal funeral services.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Carr is survived by a son, Thomas Carr of Greensboro; a daughter, Jane Harp of Fancy Gap, Va.; a sister, Noel Jager of Florida; six grandchild, Eddie, Chelsea, Krystal, Jessica and Ryan Carr and Jason Benzie; a great-grandson, Gavin Carr; also a great-grandson on the way, Connor Jett; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents Mr. Carr was preceded in death by a son, Robert Carr Sr.; a grandson, Robert Carr Jr.; and a brother, Thomas Carr.
