GOLDSBORO -- Helen Louise Gray McDonald, 78, passed away Wednesday, June 9, 2010, at Kitty Askins Hospice Center.
Helen was born in Wayne County Sept. 15, 1931, to the late Emmett and Bessie Lee Gray. She was married to the late Elvin Moore McDonald.
Helen will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister.
She was a member of Grace Baptist Church.
The family will receive friends Friday from 10 to 11 a.m. at Seymour Funeral Home, followed by a service at 11 a.m. in the chapel, with the Rev. James Frasher officiating. Private interment for the family will be at Willow Dale Cemetery in Goldsboro.
Helen is survived by her son, Kevin Moore McDonald of New York, N.Y.; her daughter, Connie Lynn McDonald Smith of Alabama; her sister, Edna Singleton of Mount Olive; five grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Richard Allen McDonald.
