In profound sorrow, the E.M. Matthews Funeral Home and Cremations Inc. family joins with the Jones family to announce the passing of Lacosta Jones. Lacosta Renea Jones, 28, 730 Oak St., entered into eternal rest Monday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
A service of remembrance will take place Friday at 11 a.m. at E.M. Matthews Funeral Home, William Street chapel. Interment will be in Wayne Memorial Park North.
Ms. Jones was born Nov. 8, 1981, in Guilford County to Linda Purvis and Robert Jones.
Lacosta was a very loving person who never met a stranger. She enjoyed her family and friends and was simply a wonderful person. Lascosta will be greatly missed by all that had the pleasure of meeting her.
Precious memories of a beautiful person such as Lacosta will forever remain in the hearts of many like her husband, Torranio Washington; two daughters, Tatianna Jones and Lexus Jones; her mother, Linda Purvis of Dudley; five sisters, Adina Jones of Warner Robbins, Ga., Anita Jones of Dudley, Elaine Mcentire of Americus, Ga., Crystal Hardaugh (Jonathan) of Pikeville and Patricia Jones of Aberson; four brothers, Robert Jones II (Olivia) of Goldsboro, Curt Jones of West Virginia, Duane Jones (Jami) of Goldsboro and George Jones "Bubba" of Goldsboro.
A visitation for Ms. Jones will be held tonight at E.M. Matthews Funeral Home and Cremations Inc. from 7 to 9.
Ms. Jones' earthly temple is peacefully resting at E.M. Matthews Funeral Home and Cremations Inc., 401 N. William St. in Goldsboro, where the Jones family is receiving caring and compassionate service, 735-2775, www.emmatthewsfuneralhome.com.
