Estelle Head Ballance, 79, passed away on Thursday morning at the Brian Center.
Funeral services have been changed to Monday at 3:30 p.m. in the chapel of Seymour Funeral Home, with the Rev. Jackie Hamm and the Rev. Thomas McLendon officiating. Burial will follow in Wayne Memorial Park.
Mrs. Ballance was born in Wayne County on Oct. 16, 1930, to the late Ben Head and Maggie Taylor Head. She was married to the late Laster Groomes Ballance. Mrs. Ballance had worked as an inspector with R.G. Barry Company in Goldsboro.
Mrs. Ballance is survived by her daughter, Betty Jane Strickland, and husband, Marvin Ray, of Goldsboro; her sons, Randy Ballance of Pikeville, Jerry Ballance and wife, Peggy, of Goldsboro and Ricky Ballance of Goldsboro; 10 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Monday from 2 until 3:30 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home, and other times at the home of her son, Randy Ballance, 115 Halston Drive, Pikeville.
