MITCHELL B. SUTTON

LAGRANGE -- Mitchell Barrow Sutton, 76, passed away Thursday.
A service of remembrance will be held tonight at 7 at Rouse Funeral Home, with Eddie Clifford and the Rev. Jason McKnight officiating. Interment will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Fairview Cemetery.
Mitchell was born Nov. 8, 1933, in Greene County to the late Evelyn Grant Barrow and Earl Mitchell Barrow.
She graduated from Wilson School Of Nursing and worked as a registered nurse.
Mitchell was a member of Grace Fellowship and enjoyed coastal living, traveling and time with her children and grandchildren.
Mitchell is survived by her husband of 50 years, Elliott Sutton; two daughters, Hope Sutton Schaefer and husband, Wess, of LaGrange and Amy Sutton Pierce and husband, Freddie, of Goldsboro; three precious grandchildren, Lindley Pierce, Anna Pierce and Corbett Schaefer; sister, Brenda Lancaster of LaGrange; half-brother, Alvin Barrow of Bear Grass; along with a number of nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Mitchell was preceded in death by a sister, Grace Harper of Snow Hill.
The family will receive friends following the service of remembrance and at other times they will be at the home.
