MOUNT OLIVE -- Hazel Wheeler Taylor, 59, 1390 Bennett's Bridge Road, died Monday afternoon at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
Funeral service will be at 7 p.m. Thursday at Tyndall Funeral Home, with the Rev. Paul Rose and the Rev. Ed Gonzalez officiating, with visitation following. Burial will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Bud Taylor Family Cemetery.
Mrs. Taylor was employed in the deli-bakery at the Mount Olive Piggly Wiggly.
She is survived by her children, Linda Kaye Taylor, Doug Taylor and Shannon Taylor, and his mate, Glenda Melton, all of Mount Olive; her "favorite" grandson, Jordan Grady of Mount Olive; a sister, Harriet Wheeler of Mount Olive; three brothers, Joe William Arnette, Clifton Wheeler and Leroy Wheeler all of Mount Olive; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Gurney Elwood Taylor; her parents, Burnice and Lela Hare Wheeler; and four brothers, Paul Arnette, Burnice Wheeler Jr., James Ed Wheeler and Levy Earl Wheeler.
