FREMONT -- Garland Gene Fields Sr., 75, passed away Thursday morning at Kitty Askins Hospice Center in Goldsboro.
Graveside services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Hooks Family Cemetery in Fremont, with the Rev. Dock Hobbs officiating.
Mr. Fields is survived by two sons, Mark Fields of Fremont and Gene Fields Jr. and wife, Stasia, of Goldsboro; two daughters, Kimberly Fields Keel and husband, Bryant, of Pikeville and Jennifer Sawyer of Goldsboro; and seven grandchildren.
The family will receive friends tonight from 6 to 8 at Shackleford-Howell Funeral Home in Fremont.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to Kitty Askins Hospice Center, 107 Handley Park Court, Goldsboro, N.C., 27533.
