DUNN -- Joseph L. Casey, 88, died Thursday evening at Britthaven of Goldsboro.
A funeral service will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Dunn, with Dr. Len Keever officiating. Burial will be in Devotional Gardens.
Mr. Casey was born Sept. 12, 1921, in Wayne County, son of the late George C. and Ada Brock Casey.
Mr. Casey was a World War II United States Army veteran.
He is survived by two nieces, Ruby Boyette of Goldsboro and Sharon Whitaker and husband, Homer, of Churubusco, Ind.; a nephew, John Casey of Goldsboro; and four great-nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Olga C. Casey, and a nephew, Bobby Ray Casey.
The family will receive friends Monday from 1 to 2 p.m. in the parlor at First Baptist Church.
