WILLIAM A. "AL" BRADY

William Alton "Al" Brady, 84, passed away Wednesday at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice.
The funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday at Grace Baptist Church in Princeton. Burial with military honors will follow in the church cemetery.
He was born in Smithfield April 3, 1925, and was the son of the late Joseph Benjamen and Ada West Brady.
A World War II veteran of the United States Army, he retired from Thomas Office Supply in Goldsboro.
His joys included fishing, gardening and church activities. He was a master gardener and loved tending to his blueberry bushes.
He had a strong faith and loved his Lord and spent many hours studying his Bible. He was a charter member of Grace Baptist Church in Princeton for 42 years and locally at Vienna Baptist Church in Pfafftown.
He and his wife relocated to Pfafftown six years ago to be closer to family. He had a great love for his grandsons and loved to tell stories and spend time with his family and friends.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Audrey Boykin Brady; daughters and sons-in-law, Sandy B. Adcock and husband, Rennie, of Pfafftown and Kathy B. Ottaway and husband, Greg, of Greensboro; brother, Thomas O. Brady of Princeton; sister, Shirley B. Carroll of Newport; and grandsons, Brady, Caleb, Alek and Shepard.
He was also preceded in death by Verlon Brady and Joseph Brady Jr.
The family will receive friends tonight from 6:30 to 8:30 at Casey Funeral Home in Princeton.
