Joseph Duke "J.D." Bradley Jr., 591 Ditch Bank Road, died Sunday at Johnston Medical Center in Smithfield.
Funeral services will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Seymour Funeral Home, with the Rev. Wesley Jarman officiating. Burial will follow in Woodard's Family Cemetery.
Mr. Bradley was born in Johnston County July 13, 1935, to the late Joseph Duke Bradley and Minnie Estelle Bailey Bradley. He was married to the late Alma Williams Bradley.
Mr. Bradley retired from Dewey Bros with 35 years of service.
He was a member of ParkEast Church of God.
Mr. Bradley is survived by his daughters, Nancy Oliff and husband, Allen, of King George, Va., and Alma Marie Minchew and husband, Jimmy, of Kenly; his son, Joseph Butler Bradley and fiancee´, Diane Combs of Goldsboro; his brother, William Earl Capps of Dudley; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home and at other times at the home.
