Bessie Cannon Boyd Hults, 88, died Saturday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 7 p.m. in the chapel of Seymour Funeral Home, with the Rev. Dann Patrick officiating. Burial will be Wednesday at 10 a.m. at Evergreen Memorial Cemetery.
Mrs. Hults was born in Conway, S.C., April 16, 1921, to the late John M. Cannon and Ellen Smith Cannon. She was married to the late Herman Boyd for 35 years, and also to the late Robert Hults.
Mrs. Hults was retired from Textilease Corp. and also worked with WAGES.
She was a member of First Presbyterian Church and a former member of Faith Free Will Baptist Church.
She is survived by her daughters, Lynda Boyd West and husband, Ronald B. West Sr., of Warsaw, Joyce Boyd Ellis of the home and Gail Boyd Klaiss and husband, Henry K. Klaiss, of Hampton, Va.
Mrs. Hults was preceded in death by her son, Carl Maryfield Boyd.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of one's choice.
The family will receive friends following the funeral service at Seymour Funeral Home and at other times at the home of Joyce Ellis, 2009 O'Berry Center Road in Goldsboro.
