DUDLEY -- Joseph Lavon Pearsall, 32, 103 Rolling-wood Court, departed this earthly life Sunday at Kitty Askins Hospice Center.
His life and memory will be celebrated Saturday at 1 p.m. at St. James Church of Christ Disciples Church, 514 S. Breazeale Ave. in Mount Olive, with pastor Joseph Warren officiating. His mortal remains will be laid to rest at Carver Memorial Cemetery.
He leaves cherised memories to his wife, Keonda Pearsall; two sons, Tyjae' and Keon; two daughters, Shakima and Jo'yonna; his loving mother and dutiful caregiver, Laverne Blakely of the home; his father, Curtis Mack of Atlanta, Ga.; his devoted godparents, Bobby and Katrina Kornegay of Mount Olive; two brothers, Fritz Blakely and Timothy Kornegay both of Dudley; three sisters, Katina Core of Dudley, Tamika Wooten of Goldsboro and Dominetrix Mack of Goldsboro; his grandmother, Savanah Fredrick of the home; one uncle, Richard Pearsall of the home; and other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held Friday from 2 to 7 p.m. at McIntyre Funeral Home, 900 S. George St. The family will be present to receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. At other times the family will receive friends at the home, where they will also assemble for the funeral procession.
