ALBERTSON -- Nellie Hinson Kornegay, 91, died Thursday at Lenoir Memorial Hospital.
Services will be held Saturday at 7 p.m. at Tyndall Funeral Home in Mount Olive, with the Rev. Justin Marker officiating. Visitation will follow the service. Committal and burial will be Sunday at 1 p.m. at Pineview Cemetery near Seven Springs, with Bob Marker presiding.
Mrs. Kornegay, a retired homemaker and long-time resident of Woodland Church Road, was a member of Snow Hill Free Will Baptist Church.
She is survived by two daughters, Anne Kornegay Radford and husband, Hubert, of Kinston and Faye Kornegay Coward of Vanceboro; a son, Rank Kornegay and wife, Rhodia, of Albertson; grandchildren, Theressa G. Joyner of Ahoskie, Frances G. Wallace of Albertson, Leigh Anne Hall of Deep Run, David Allen Grady of Kenansville and Randall Kornegay of Albertson; four great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Allen W. Kornegay; an infant daughter, Nellie Jo Kornegay; her parents, Will Jennings Hinson and Chellie Ann Jones Hinson; and a sister, Josephine H. Walker.
