NANCY S. SHIVAR

SEVEN SPRINGS -- Nancy Scherer Shivar, 71, passed away peacefully Sunday at her home.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 1 p.m. at Seven Springs United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Phyllis Vail officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery, where she will be laid to rest beside her late husband, David R. Shivar.
Nancy is survived by her son, Royce Shivar and his wife, Gwen, of Seven Springs, along with their two children, Kayle and Garrett; daughter, Loretta Beasley and husband, Earl, of Pikeville, and their three children, David, Kristen and husband, Ron, and Sarah; three brothers, Carl, Albert and Earl Wade Scherer; and a half-brother, Norman Scherer.
The family will receive friends tonight from 7 to 9 at Rouse Funeral Home in LaGrange, and at other times they will be at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Royce Shivar, 401 Lynch Road, LaGrange.
The family requests that, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to the Seven Springs United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 64, Seven Springs, NC, 28578, or Seven Springs Fire Department, P.O. Box 116, Seven Springs, NC, 28578.
Arrangements are with Rouse Funeral Home of LaGrange.
