PIKEVILLE -- Edwin "Ed" Ray Price, 63, died Wednesday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services will be held tonight at 7 p.m. in the chapel of Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro with visitation afterward. Graveside services will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. at Elmwood Cemetery in Fremont.
Ed was born in Wayne County Oct. 31, 1945, to the late George and Iva Gurley Price.
He was a fleet supervisor with Goldsboro Milling Co.
He is survived by his wife, Bonnie "Lois" Y. Price; his mother-in-law, Shirley Lane of Goldsboro and the late, J.C. Lane; brother-in-law, Jimmy Lane and wife, Teresa, of Goldsboro; his niece and nephew, Melissa McClure and husband, David, of Goldsboro and Adam Lane of Goldsboro; cousins, Tommy Burt and wife, Francis, and family of Grantham and Molly Ann Price Hood and husband, Floyd, of Grantham; uncles, Glenn Gurley and wife, Rose, of Dudley, Rex Gurley and wife, Linda, of Goldsboro and Janis Gurley of Dudley; a special friend, Michael Holland of Goldsboro; and all of his co-workers and buddies at Goldsboro Milling Co.
In addition to his parents, Ed was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Luby E. Price and Maude Hagwood Price, and his maternal grandparents, Needham Gurley and Callie Twiggs Gurley.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the American Cancer Society or charity of your choice in memory of Ed Price.
