VALLIE B. TAYLOR

FAISON -- Vallie Barbour Taylor, 55, died Wednesday.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Faison Presbyterian Church. The family will greet friends following the service in the church fellowship hall.
A native of Onslow County, Mrs. Taylor was born on June 2, 1953, the daughter of Elijah and Geneva Hemby Barbour.
She was a member of Faison Presbyterian Church and was employed by the state of North Carolina, serving as a deputy clerk of court in Wake and Duplin counties.
She married Ceness Taylor on Oct. 18, 1980.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Beth Nelson.
Surviving are her husband of 28 years, Ceness Taylor of the home; daughter, Ashley Taylor McNair and her husband, Lee, of Stokesdale; son, Aaron Ceness Taylor of Sneads Ferry; sisters, Fran Leach of Summerfield and Judy Cumbo of Clinton; grandson, Gavin Elijah; and best friend and cousin, Debbie Powell of Sneads Ferry.
