Christine Sutton Uzzell, 81, died Sunday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
A service of remembrance will be held Wednesday at 7 p.m. at Rouse Funeral Home, with the Rev. Bill Sutton officiating. Interment will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at Fairview Cemetery.
Mrs. Uzzell was born March 20, 1928, in Wayne County to the late Gordon and Alice Garris Sutton. She was the wife of the late Preston Uzzell.
Mrs. Uzzell is survived by a brother, Chester Sutton of Newton, and a number of nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends Wednesday following the service of remembrance.
