Jerry Lee, 60, passed away Wednesday, Feb.18, 2009, at his home on the Blue Moon Property in Alachua, Fla.
A memorial celebration of Jerry's life and indomitable spirit will be held at the Blue Moon on the afternoon and evening of Wednesday, Feb. 25.
He is survived by his son, Jason Lee of Morgantown, W.Va., and his daughter, Jahmin Lee of Richmond, Va.; his brothers, Jeff Lee of Seven Springs, Jim Lee of Austin, Texas, Jay Lee of Swansboro and Jonathan Lee of Raleigh; and his faithful companion of more than 30 years, Mama Monkey.
He was proceeded in death by his sister, Jamie Lee, and his parents, Jim and Janet Lee.
Jerry was a lifelong showman who entertained crowds throughout the United States and Central America with his many stage alter egos including Alphie the Friendly Ape, Poppa Dollar, and Ras Poppa Master of the Whip.
