MOUNT OLIVE -- Jesse "Richard" Goodman Jr., 62, 949 Stanley Chapel Church Road, died Thursday at LifeCare Hospitals in Rocky Mount.
He was the son of Eva Miller Good-man and the late Jesse Goodman Sr.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Nellie Goodman of the home; three children, Gregory Goodman of Virginia and Jesse Goodman of Greensboro and Ramona Goodman of the home; four brothers, James Goodman of Mount Olive, Darius Goodman and Michael Goodman of Maryland and Jessie Simpson of Clarkton; nine sisters, Barbara Jean Melton, Diane Meade, Deborah Stevens, Annie Harrell and Wanda Goodman of Maryland, Linda Williams of Rocky Mount, Vivian Monroe of Seven Springs, Brenda Simpson of Mount Olive and Emma Jean Goodman of Washington, D.C.; and five grandchildren.
The family will receive friends tonight from 6 to 8 at Garris Funeral Home Chapel.
