GREENSBORO -- Mrs. Margaret Williams James, 91, departed from this life on Saturday at Golden Living Center.
A private committal service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday morning at Montlawn Cemetery in Raleigh.
She was born Aug. 22, 1917, in Goldsboro, to the late Dink and Ella Williams.
Mrs. James was a member of Mount Pisgah United Methodist Church. She was a member of Myrtle Rebekah Lodge, and served as secretary in practically every club, class, or organization she was affiliated with. Margaret took pride in being a homemaker and enjoyed gardening, canning, ceramics, and cooking. She adored her granddaughters and aside from her love of God, family always came first. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husband of 35 years, Milton James.
Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter, Robin Hernandez and husband Nelson of Greensboro; granddaughters, Rachel and Katy Rochelle of Greensboro; and several cousins.
