MILDRED L. ISLER

FAYETTEVILLE -- Mrs. Mildred Lee Isler, 68, 1301 Delaware Ave., Washington, D.C., formerly of Wayne County, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.
Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday at 2 p.m. at Shady Grove Missionary Baptist Church, 2506 New Hope Road, LaGrange with elder Larry M. Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in the Old Mill Cemetery, 2404 Central Heights Road, Goldsboro. A viewing will be held on Friday from 1 to 7 p.m. at Hamilton Funeral Chapel, 423 S. James St. Also, a wake will be conducted from 6 to 7 p.m. at Hamilton Funeral Chapel with the family present to receive other family members and friends.
Mildred was born Sept. 20, 1940, in Wayne County to the late James (Pap) and Bettie Mae Lofton Isler. A great nephew, China Darren Opara, preceded her in death.
She attended the Goldsboro City Schools and graduated from Dillard High School in the Class of 1958.
After graduating from high school, Mildred applied and was accepted at the North Carolina Central University in Durham. She graduated in the Class of 1962 and earned her Bachelor of Administration Degree in Business Administration.
Left to cherish her loving memories are one sister, Anne Isler Wilson and husband, Daniel of Fayetteville; one nephew, Anthony W. Wilson of Fayetteville; one niece, Denise R. Opara and husband, Fred of Raleigh; two great nieces, Alexia and Eberechi Opara both of Raleigh; a host of uncles, aunts, cousins other relatives and friends.
At other times, the family will receive friends at the residence of Ms. Barbara Isler, 1508 Harris St., Goldsboro, N.C., 27530.
