Mr. William Patrick "Bill" Lashley, 42, died suddenly on Monday at his home.
A memorial service will be Sunday at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Seymour Funeral Home with Rev. Fred Clarke
officiating.
Bill was born in Wayne County on June 3, 1966, to the late Eugene Malloy Lashley and Hazel Fields Lashley. He was an active member of the National Rifle Association. Bill loved to hunt and fish and could be found most weekends at the local gun range where he loved to shoot.
Bill is survived by his brothers, Ted Lashley of Wilmington and wife, Theresa, Don Lashley of Wilmington and wife, Karen, Brian Lashley of Chapel Hill, and his nieces and nephews, Cheryl Lashley, Michael Lashley, Samantha Lashley, Nicole Lashley, Joseph Lashley and Dustin Templeton.
In lieu of flowers, memorial may be made to the National Rifle Association Processing Center, P.O. 420648, Palm Coast, Florida 32142-0648.
The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home.
