A homegoing celebration for the life of Mother Mamie Lee Rhodes Moore, 93, of 508 Eason St., who slept into eternal rest on Wednesday
night at Kitty Askins Hospice Center, will be held today at 1 p.m. at the Pentecostal United Holy Church. The Rev. Willie Lewis will be officiating.
She will be laid to rest in the Wayne Memorial Park North. She was the daughter of the late Clyde Moore and Fannie Morgan. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Frances Lee, and two husbands, Limmie Rhodes and Lathan Moore.
She leaves to cherish her precious memories one sister Irene Grady of New Jersey; several nieces and nephews, including Gracie Ragland, Toni Ingram, Betty Allen, James Dawson, and Clara Hopkins. There was a viewing held on Saturday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Rhodes Funeral Home Chapel. Sympathetic Expressions of Love may be emailed to rhodesfh1@aol.com.
