FRANCES J. TYLER

Mrs. Frances Johnson Tyler, 97, lovingly known by her family and students as "Mrs. Tyler," of 1565 Emmaus Church Road, Dudley, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday at the Sunbridge Nursing Home of Mount Olive.
Memorial services will be conducted on Saturday at 10 a.m. at St. Francis Episcopal Church at 503 Forest Hill Drive, with the Rev. A.O. Vannorsdall officiating.
Mrs. Tyler was born July 5, 1911, in Tallahassee, Fla. to the late Thomas Johnson and Mary Mizelle Johnson.
She attended and graduated from Talladega College in Talladega, Ala. She taught in the educational systems for over 70 years, faithfully.
Mrs. Tyler was a member and "Diamond Soror" of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., for over 75 years.
Left to cherish her loving memories are her daughter, Victoria Wheeler and husband, James Wheeler, of Hopatcong, N.J.; two grandsons, Mark Wheeler and wife, Jamey Wheeler of London, England and Derrick Tyler of Washington, D.C.; one great-granddaughter, Jasmine of Washington, D.C.; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
