Died Sept. 24, 2008
AUTRYVILLE -- Mrs. Marcie Tyndall Spell, 91, 1511 Libbie Road, passed away Wednesday.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 11 a.m. at Mount Carmel Church of God of Prophecy with Bishop Warren Barfield and her son, the Rev. Lutrell Spell officiating. Burial will follow at Zoar Pentecostal Church cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday at Butler Funeral Home in Roseboro.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ollin and Elizabeth Tyndall; her husbands, John Alton McKenzie and Libby C. Spell; three brothers and seven sisters; one son, Uriah Spell; and one daughter, Mildred Spell.
She is survived by four sons, Edwin McKenzie of Stedman, Lutrell Spell and wife Miriam of Fremont, Fess Spell and wife Doris of Autryville, Earl Spell and wife Blanchie of Beulaville; four daughters, Ora Roegiers and husband Vincent of Dunn, Frances Hall and husband James of Fayetteville, Mable Parker and husband Elton of Stedman, and Patricia Hall and husband Jimmy of Autryville; 22 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; and two sisters-in-law, Mae Tyndall and Lula Tyndall, both of Salemburg.
She was a devoted wife, mother, homemaker and faithful member of Mount Carmel Church of God of Prophecy for 60 years.
She loved her family, friends and church family, and most of all, she loved God.
Arrangements are being handled by Butler Funeral Home, 401 W. Roseboro St., Roseboro.
