NEWTON GROVE -- Mr. Randolph "Doc" Edwards, 84, 202 W. Grove St., died Sunday.
A funeral service will be held at Newton Grove Baptist Church on Wednesday at 3 p.m. with the Rev. Frank Sandy, the Rev. Billie Lawson, the Rev. Paul Rose and the Rev. Emmitt Hackett officiating. Burial will follow the service at Hillcrest cemetery.
Mr. Edwards is preceded in death by his son, Randy M. Edwards.
Mr. Edwards is survived by his wife, Evelyn P. Edwards; his daughters and sons-in-law, Linda E. and Billy of Newton Grove, Gale E. and Jerry Jackson of Smithfield; many grandchildren, Jonathan Gregory and wife, Karen of Newton Grove, Michele J. Howard and husband, Glenn of Smithfield, Amanda C. Edwards and fiancé, Justin Leggett of Greenville, Justin R. Edwards of Bear Grass; great-grandchildren, Miranda Harper, Ashley and Brooke Howards, Cory Collins and Nathan Gregory.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m.
