Billie R. Hawks, of Columbia, Mo. passed away on May 30, 2008 at University Hospital and Clinics in Columbia.
The funeral will be 11 a.m. on Tuesday, June 3, 2008 at Memorial Funeral Home, 1217 Bus. 70 West, Columbia, Mo. 65202. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. on Monday, June 2, 2008 at the funeral home.
Billie was born on April 9, 1956 in Beckley, W.Va. to William and Rayalene Bailey Brizendine and they survive in Ohio. She was married to William Hawks on July 25, 1980 in Beckley, W.Va. and he survives.
She was a graduate of Grove City High School in Ohio and Concord College in West Virginia where she received her bachelor's degree in social work. She was last employed by Preferred Hospice in Columbia and will be remembered for devoting her life to her patients and their families. She was a member of Eastside Church of Christ in Columbia.
Billie is also survived by her son, Justin Hawks and his wife, Sarah, of Pikeville, N.C.; brothers, James Brizendine and his wife, Susan, and Robert Brizendine and his wife, Bonnie, all of Ohio; two special aunts, Raymona Marlow and Raychel Houston and several nieces and nephews.
