SEVEN SPRINGS -- Julia Coker Murvin, 78, of Indian Springs Road, died early Tuesday in SunBridge Care Center.
Services will be at Tyndall Funeral Home on Friday at 2 p.m., with the Rev. Otto Griffin and the Rev. James Spencer officiating. Burial will be in Wayne Memorial Park.
Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Elda Rae and Walter Holmes of Seven Springs and Marie and Ray McArthur of Mount Olive; two sons and daughters-in-law, Robert Wayne (Bo) and Sue Mervin of Seven Springs and Robert Earl and Sherry Murvin of Goldsboro; two sisters, Angeline Barwick and Dorothy Lane, both of Mount Olive; two brothers, Jackie Coker of Georgia and Willie Coker of Dudley; nine grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, William Earl Murvin; her husband, Harper Murvin; her parents, John W. and Etta Waller Coker; and three brothers, Ralph, David and Gordon Coker.
Mrs. Murvin was a member of Spring Creek Baptist Church and the Woodmen of the World. She had been a homemaker, a poultry farmer, and had tended to countless children in her home.
Visitation will be at Tyndall Funeral Home on Thursday from 7 until 9 p.m., and at other times at the home of Marie & Ray McArthur, 817 N. Church St., Mount Olive.
