PHILADELPHIA, Pa. -- John Reid, 62, 5506 Linmore Ave., formerly of Wayne County, died May 19 in Penn Presbyterian Hospital.
The funeral will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at Elm Grove Church of Christ of Pikeville. Burial will be in Hooks Grove Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery.
He was the son of the late Fred and Gertrude Walker Pitt.
Visitation will be Thursday from 2 to 6 p.m. at McIntyre Funeral Home Ministries of Goldsboro. The family will receive friends at 171 Booker St., Pikeville, and will assemble there in preparation for the funeral procession.
