WINDSOR -- Edith Mae Brown Bryant, 92, South King St., died Saturday at the Brian Center.
A graveside service was held today at 1 p.m. at Edgewood Cemetery with the Rev. Noah Howard officiating.
Brad Crumpler, Kelly Crumpler, Mark Thomas, Tim Gardner, Rocky Allen and Eric Crumpler were pallbearers.
Mrs. Bryant was born in Nash County Sept. 23, 1915, to the late Jesse Brown and Mary Elizabeth Jones Brown. She was married to William Chapel "Buddy" Bryant, who preceded her in death. A daughter, Edith Hope Bryant, and a grandson, William Chapel "Chucky" Bryant III, also preceded her in death.
She was a homemaker and member of St. Thomas Episcopal Church.
She is survived by a son, William Chapel "Butch" Bryant Jr. of Idabel, Okla.; a daughter, Elizabeth Jean Bryant Crumpler of Goldsboro; a sister, Helen Clark of Rocky Mount; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
The family will receive visitors at the home, 1422 S. King St., Windsor.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Thomas Episcopal Church, 302 S. Queen St., Windsor, 27983.
Walker Funeral Home of Windsor is serving the family.
