MARTHA LOUISE BRASWELL LANGLEY

PRINCETON -- Martha Louise Braswell Langley, 90, of 317 Whitley Church Road went to be with her Lord on Friday, April 25, 2008 at Kitty Askins Hospice Center surrounded by her family.
The funeral will be held today at 3:30 p.m. from the chapel of Howell Funeral Home and Crematory in Goldsboro. Pastor Andy Stovall, the Rev. Ricky Yelverton and Dr. Glenn Mills will officiate. Interment will follow at Evergreen Memorial Cemetery in Princeton. The family will receive friends today from 2 until 3:15 p.m. at the funeral home and other times at the residence.
Mrs. Langley was born in Johnston County on Sept. 7, 1917, to the late Charles Richard and Bertha Lee Creech Braswell. She was a member of Whitley Church where she was a member of the Senior Citizen Group, served as past president of the Ladies Auxiliary, Sunday school teacher and deaconess.
She is survived by her loving husband of 71 years, Bernice Samuel Langley; two sons, Charles Samuel Langley Sr. and his wife, Sue, of Rosewood and Ronald "Ronnie" Keith Langley and his wife, Linda, of Elm City; three sisters, Luda Hinnant of Smithfield, Joyce Myers of Garner and Betsy Pate of Pine Level; 10 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; and a special friend, Dollie Mae Capps of Rosewood.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Langley was preceded in death by her daughter, Peggy Ann Musgrave; three brothers, the Rev. Worth Braswell, Bill Braswell and Robert Braswell; and four sisters, Hazel Carter, Eunice Thompson, Frances Howell and Vonnie Pearce.
The family would like to express gratitude for the comfort and care given to their loved one while at Kitty Askins Hospice Center. A special appreciation goes to Dr. Sam McLamb, her lifetime physician.
