BILL BROOKS

LAGRANGE -- William Patrick "Bill" Brooks, 69, of 3653 Fields Station Road, died Wednesday at Kitty Askins Hospice Center. Bill was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Brooks; son, Donald "Petee" Brooks; and father, Joel Patrick Brooks. He was a member of Neuse Baptist Church and previously worked as a truck driver and painter. Bill enjoyed fishing and riding his four wheeler.
The funeral will be held Friday, March 28, 2008, at 7 p.m. from Rouse Funeral Home. Interment will be Saturday at 11 a.m. from Fairview Cemetery.
Bill is survived by his mother, Mary Ella Moore of Kinston; son, Ronald Brooks and wife, Tammy, of Snow Hill; two daughters, Wanda Jones of Goldsboro and Jennifer Whitfield and husband, Pee Wee, of LaGrange; three brothers, Edward Moore of Kinston, Kenneth Moore of Kinston and Robert Moore of LaGrange; sister, Linda Johnson of Kinston; five grandchildren, Dewayne Grant, Rhonda Johnson, Brittany Brooks, Kelsey Brooks, Katie McLaurin; three great-grandchildren, Brandon Johnson, Tyler Grant and Shane Johnson; and a special sister-in-law, Elaine Moore.
The family will receive friends Friday following the service and at other times they will be at the home of Jennifer and Pee Wee Whitfield, 3218 New Hope Road, LaGrange. Online condolences may be expressed at www.rousefh.com. Arrangements are with Rouse Funeral Home, LaGrange.
