FAYETTEVILLE -- Retired Air Force Chief Master Sgt. James Douglas Eakes, 64, of 6891 Bigwood Road, formerly of Goldsboro, died Saturday at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.
He is survived by his wife, Sun Eakes of the home.
Funeral will be 10:30 a.m. today at Rogers and Breece Funeral Home West Chapel in Fayetteville. Pastor Kyung C. Kim will officiate. Burial will take place in Sandhills State Veterans Cemetery, Spring Lake. Visitation was 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
